I tell all the new parents I know that the most important thing in their new life won’t be anything you can register for. The best resource and tool in parenting is the other parents you know. Like many moms, I would say the one thing that has been the biggest part of my life since having kids are my mom friends.

But everyone of them who has welcomed me into their home, picked up my kids at school, or dropped off supplies when I was sick made a difference in my life. In seven years we have lived in three different cities and four different homes, and there is now way I would have made it through that challenge of any of those moves with out the women I left behind and the new ones I met on the other side.
