Today was a perfect day for this sponsored Planes post with Disney and Social Moms because it was one of those random days off of school and since Miss Desmonda was feeling poorly it gave me and Miss Calamity Jane a chance to have some serious talks.
That girl loves her some chats and she is serious as only a seven year old can be. She’s been doing utterly fantastic lately at most things but that’s hard in itself because she is having to let go of some of her support system because she doesn’t need them anymore.
But like the bike rider who doesn’t want to let go of the training wheels, CJ still wants those people around her. She’s been my hero for trying so hard for a long time, now I just need to convince her that she really is a superhero who can do it on her own.
After talks, came relaxing time. We settled in to watch Disney’s Planes Fire & Rescue which just came out today. This is one of those movies that the girls can watch over and over. And the humorous writing makes it entertaining for me as well. It’s a great adventure story for the whole family and my hope is that it reminds my two that they have the capability to be a hero, just like Dusty.
“Bring home the thrill of a lifetime with Disney’s Planes Fire & Rescue. This heart-pumping comedy-adventure features a dynamic crew of elite aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfire. When world famous air racer Dusty learns that he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with a team of veteran firefighters and together, they battle a massive fire and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero.”
