Get Blinged out with Blingerz

So I am totally hyped about the review I have for today’s post. It’s for a small business started by a mom who had a fantastic idea and ran with it. Frustrated by the high cost of the blinged out shoes that her kids were craving, she found a way for any pair of shoes to get that blinged out look. She created Blingerz which allows you to customize ANY pair of shoes with all kinds of cool blingy designs.

As a mom to twins, one who has to wear rather orthopedic looking shoes to accomodate her braces, I so needed these. They sent me a few sets to try out and I immediately set out to blingerize a pair of Converse I had picked up on sale at Target. It was actually way easier than I thought it would be.

The packets come with an alcohol wipe that you use to clean the surface. Then you carefully peel the stickers away from the plastic backing. Hold gingerly at each end and place. You will notice that they are slightly separated which makes them WAY easier to place. One caveat, do a little measuring first. I barely eyeballed it and the second piece was too big. On the other shoe I was able to trim it to fit. Notice in the after picture how much better it looks (there’s an arrow pointing to it.)

So yes Blingerz are rhinestone stickers for your shoes. But why stop there? You can also use them to add a little sparkle to barrettes, cell phone cases, or any hard surface that need a little bling.     i would do some shoes for my 2 year old. She is totally into all things “bling” and loves the shoes that come pre-blinged but I just can’t spend $40 or more for one pair of little shoes!!!

    Maybe if I Blingerize my phone to be ultra girly..the boys won’t want to play with it anymore!! :-)
